The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for the hotel building maintenance and refurbishment of the building components to ensure quality guest experience.

Duties:

• Performs routine inspections and repairs of guest rooms, hallways, stairwells and back of house areas
• Repairs drywall, paint, wallpaper, furniture, doors and minor electrical and plumbing when needed
• Conducts regular safety inspections and address any potential hazards to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Provides training and guidance to new hires and coworkers on general operations, equipment operations and safety standards

Qualifications:

• Previous maintenance experience in home renovations, hotel operations or facilities is preferred
• Ability to problem solve and work under pressure
• Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 75 pounds
• Available to work flexible hours including overtime, holidays and weekends as needed
• Must be able to maintain high levels of confidence.
